MORE about Loglines....

In writing screenplays, you’re almost never really done, even with something as simple as a LOGLINE. You’ll compose a couple of quick sentences like we just did for Monster’s, Inc. and then you’ll go back over it, and over it, and over it again.

Part of the polishing of LOGLINES will come about as you complete each draft of your script. Prior to actually beginning the first draft, you will believe the story is heading in a particular direction. By the time you finish the draft you may find you’ve ended up somewhere different enough that you need to go back to your original LOGLINE to reflect the new reality. Most likely you will do this again after you complete your first Rewrite, too.

Right now, I want you to take a moment and compose your first LOGLINE for the script you’re going to create. This mini synopsis will change, but let’s create it anyway. This sentence will be the springboard to catapult you into the rest of your story-planning sessions. So, go for it! Take as much time as you need until you’re happy with it
