Screenplays are just another vessel to hold your story...
Sometimes you envision a story you discover as a novel, sometimes a screenplay and rarely for me, a stage play. They are all merely vessels - like a cup that holds your morning coffee. Each has its own 'rules' or requirements. Don't fear that, but you will need to know the rules to fully realize your story idea.
I taught myself screenwriting after working in the film industry for years as a post and VFX coordinator. I can teach you too if you're willing to commit the time to it. Students around the world have learned screenwriting from my seminars and video course - and I think they've had fun doing it.
Here are a couple of my students offering their comments on my Screenwriting Essentials program.
